Pipeline Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning

Pre-commissioning proves the line is clean, tight and dry before product is admitted. Each stage is completed and accepted in turn, since a line that passes a pressure test but has not been properly dried will still cause problems once it is in service.

Typical scope: flooding, cleaning and gauging; hydrostatic pressure testing and hold periods; dewatering and swabbing; drying to a specified dew point; nitrogen purging and inerting; commissioning records and acceptance certificates.
