Tank Construction & Erection
Site erection and modification of storage tanks and vessels, covering plate work, welding, testing and the associated inspection records.
Tank work follows the erection sequence the design calls for. Floor, shell and roof plate are laid, fitted and welded in an order that controls distortion, and weld testing and settlement checks are recorded as the tank goes up rather than assembled afterwards for the hydrostatic test.
Typical scope: floor, shell and roof plate erection; shell modification and plate replacement; nozzle and manway installation; vacuum box, radiographic and hydrostatic testing; internal lining and external coating; staircases, platforms and gauging equipment.
