Laser Shaft Alignment
Precision alignment of driver and driven machines using laser equipment, with as-found and as-left readings recorded.
Alignment is recorded as found and as left, so the correction is evidenced rather than asserted. Soft foot is measured and corrected first, since aligning a machine standing on an uneven base only moves the problem somewhere less visible.
Typical scope: soft foot measurement and correction; horizontal and vertical alignment by laser measurement; thermal growth allowance where the duty requires it; shimming and repositioning; coupling condition assessment; as-found and as-left reports with tolerances stated.
Part of Rotating Equipment Repair.
