Dynamic Balancing
In-situ and workshop balancing of rotors and impellers to reduce vibration to within the acceptance limits for the machine.
Balancing is carried out to a stated grade rather than until the vibration feels acceptable, and the residual unbalance is recorded, so the result can be checked against the standard the machine is required to meet.
Typical scope: workshop balancing of rotors, impellers and fans; in-situ balancing where removal is impractical; single and two-plane correction; trial weight runs and correction weight fitting; residual unbalance measured against the specified grade; before-and-after vibration record.
