Corrosion Mapping & Thickness Survey
Wall thickness measurement and corrosion mapping of piping, vessels and tanks, consolidated into a record that supports fitness-for-service.
A thickness survey is only useful if the same points can be read again, so locations are fixed and referenced to a grid or a drawing before the first reading is taken. Results are then trended rather than reported in isolation.
Typical scope: ultrasonic wall thickness readings at fixed points; corrosion mapping of vessels, tanks and piping; inspection of insulated pipework where access allows; grid marking and location referencing; trend comparison against previous surveys; remaining life indication.
