Advanced Ultrasonics (PAUT & TOFD)
Phased array and time-of-flight diffraction inspection where conventional ultrasonics cannot resolve the flaw type or geometry involved.
Phased array and time-of-flight diffraction are used where conventional ultrasonics cannot resolve the geometry or the flaw type involved. Both produce an imaged, recordable result, which means a weld can be compared directly against its own earlier inspection.
Typical scope: phased array inspection of welds and corrosion; time-of-flight diffraction for weld volumetrics; encoded scans with retained data files; scan plans and calibration blocks specific to the component; reporting with imaged results and defect sizing.
Part of Inspection & NDT.
