Switchgear is worked on dead and proven dead, and protection settings are verified as part of the job. A clean, well-serviced panel whose protection has not been tested has not actually been maintained.
Typical scope: isolation, cleaning and inspection of switchgear and motor control centres; contact and mechanism servicing; protection relay testing and setting verification; thermographic survey; breaker function testing; insulation testing and issue of records.
