Structural Integrity Assessment

Assessment of structural condition and remaining life from inspection data, used to prioritise remedial work and set the next survey interval.

Assessment turns inspection readings into a decision. Measured wall loss, defect size and coating condition are compared against acceptance criteria, and where a member falls outside them the remaining life is estimated, so repair can be scheduled rather than forced by a failure.

Typical scope: review and consolidation of inspection data; fitness-for-service assessment against the applicable code; remaining life estimation; anomaly ranking and repair prioritisation; recommended inspection intervals; reporting suitable for the duty holder's own records.
