Mooring System Inspection & Maintenance

Inspection of chains, wires, connectors and buoyancy, with change-out and re-certification of components that fall outside acceptance criteria.

A mooring is only as good as its weakest component, so inspection covers the whole load path: chain, connectors, wire, buoyancy and terminations. Any item measured outside acceptance criteria is changed out rather than left under observation.

Typical scope: chain and connector measurement for wear and elongation; wire rope inspection; shackle and swivel examination; buoyancy and float condition; anode checks; change-out and re-certification of components; reporting against the mooring register.
