Corrosion Protection & Coating
Surface preparation, protective coating and cathodic protection work that extends the service life of exposed marine and offshore steelwork.
Coating life is set by surface preparation more than by the product. Blast profile, cleanliness and ambient conditions are checked and recorded before any coat is applied, and each coat is inspected before the next goes on, because a fault buried under a topcoat cannot be found later.
Typical scope: surface preparation to the specified standard; primer, intermediate and topcoat application; thermal spray and specialist systems where required; dry film thickness and holiday testing; cathodic protection surveys and anode replacement; coating condition reporting.
Part of Marine Support & Asset Integrity.
