Collection and analysis of soil and sediment samples, including chain-of-custody handling and reporting against the relevant screening values.
Sample integrity decides the result. Containers, preservation and holding times are controlled from the moment of collection and chain of custody is kept unbroken to the laboratory, because a correctly analysed sample that was wrongly handled is still a wrong answer.
Typical scope: sampling location survey and setting out; surface and depth sampling; correct container, preservation and cool-chain handling; unbroken chain-of-custody documentation; laboratory analysis for hydrocarbons, metals and physical parameters; reporting against screening criteria.
